I purchased this salvaged piece of 12”x12”x48” Douglas Fir from a demolished building near the port of Tacoma.

After a month of work carving, sanding and filling cracks with Gold epoxy I hated the end result…. and started over. The final piece flows and highlights the bold grain patterns in Douglas Fir, raising common Construction material to art.
